Kiwi
Kiwi is a nickname used to address the people of New Zealand, both internationally and among the kiwis themselves. It’s derived from their flightless bird that is native and endemic to New Zealand: kiwi (duh, of course!)
Picture showing a couple of Kiwis enjoying the walk near their symbolic water falls called the Huka Falls. One of the Kiwi is barefoot, which is quite common in New Zealand!
Kiwi bird itself is a nocturnal bird, so we can only see them during the night time or in a dark room in zoos, meaning all of my pictures of kiwis are blurry and dark. Then, here’s a nice one taken from a web page about kiwi (copyright expired).
Kiwi can also mean kiwifruit, that little furry fruit that look like kiwi, that previously was known as Chinese gooseberry.
