Friday Photo: The most beautiful drinking fountain (Sydney)

Welcome to our new weekly feature: the Friday Photo!

A couple days ago when I was strolling down the Hyde Park in the centre of Sydney, and I found this most beautiful and elaborate drinking fountain that I’ve seen so far! The fountain itself is looking quite usual, but it’s sitting inside an ornate gazebo especially made for it!

Being cheap backpackers like us, we as far as possible we rely on the free drinking sources to satisfy our thirst. We fill whatever drinking bottle that we happen to have with tap water in the morning (of course in places that tap water is drinkable), and refill it from tap waters and drinking fountains that we found along our way (sometimes from regular fountains too when somehow we think it’s safe).

A minor detail here, as pretty as it is, only a super tiny trickle of water came out from it….. It was useless that time, but it make a gorgeous drinking fountain scene.

The maximum flow of the drinking fountain

That's the maximum flow!

So, do you have favourite looking drinking fountain too? Tell me about it (and maybe I can update this post with yours too)
