Welcome to Dina and Ryan's Traveling Blog!

Hi there!

We are a married couple that decided to close down our apartment, limit our possessions into two of 60 L backpacks, and be nomad backpackers, go wherever our hearts desire.

The ape of Gibraltar

We started our journey on April 2009, with Europe as our first destination. From Ontario where we lived, we flew to Florida, and crossed the Atlantic Ocean with a repositioning transatlantic cruise ship. Yes, like the Titanic cruise. Believe me, it was not expensive as you might think. They are not in high demand, but they have to move across the ocean anyway to be in the right place in the right season. It is not an expensive journey, as long as you don’t buy those pricey extras and shore excursions from the cruise.

Madeira, a Portuguese island in Atlantic ocean

After stopping in several beautiful places in the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, the ship reached the final destination: Barcelona, Spain. When we arrived there, we didn’t even have any idea where we might stay that night. Nothing was booked or even searched. Our European journey had just began.

Chateau d'If, off Marseille

That was about a year ago, and together we have visited over 25 countries. We go with the flow, we go where it is cheap and warm. There are many stories that we want to share, and we think a web-blog is a good place to do it. You are welcome here, and I hope you enjoy reading the articles, as much as I enjoy writing them.

Regards,
Dina & Ryan
